French Black Clay is also known as Terra Black Clay. It possesses a striking charcoal black hue. French Black Clay is a form of Montmorillonite clay, a soft absorbent clay named after the western region of France known as Montmorillon.

Our French Black Clay is mined, mechanically pulverized into a very fine powered consistency and dried without use of any chemical treatments or additives. It is then carefully packaged to maintain the purity, freshness and beneficial properties of this mineral-rich clay.

Uses:

French Black Clay is a beautiful, versatile clay with a striking hue and soft, desirable texture. Abundant in silica and other minerals, it is a highly absorbent clay that helps to attract dirt and impurities away from the skin while providing gentle exfoliation. For facial applications, it is ideally suited for normal to oily skin types. After application, it leaves the skin noticeably softer and smoother.

Comments: Super gritty. I've never purchased a clay that doesn't end up smooth once water is added.
