It is then filtered to obtain a brilliant, clear yellow to green oil with a mild, fresh cucumber aroma.

Its impressive composition of linoleic and oleic acids further enhances its benefits in personal care applications.

The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) has not evaluated the cucumber species Cucumis sativus, most likely because cucumbers are so abundant.

Virgin Cucumber Seed Oil is a predominantly polyunsaturated oil due to its composition of 60-68% linoleic acid.

The significant ratio of sterols and tocopherols present in Virgin Cucumber Seed Oil contributes to its ability to soothe, moisturize, support and protect the skin and hair. It supports normal skin elasticity and helps maintain healthy, hydrated skin.

Virgin Cucumber Seed Oil is a light yet deeply nourishing oil that absorbs rapidly, feels wonderful when applied and leaves the skin looking and feeling more youthful.

It is especially beneficial in formulations intended to support dry, problematic, mature and sunburned skin.

Its composition also makes it well suited for inclusion within hair care formulations.
